CHERUBS 2013 CDH Scholarships

Announcing the first CDH College Scholarships at CHERUBS!  

Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded this year in memory of cherub Oz Kidd-Ward.

Applications are accepted each year between March 1 and June 24th and must be accompanied by the following applicable items: 

·      High school transcript(s) or Recent Report Card with GPA 

·      College Acceptance Letter(s)

·      Two letters of recommendation.  Letters must be dated within the last three months.

Rewards are granted on merit without regard to race, religion, creed, sex, national origin or disability status.  All applicants must be a current member of CHERUBS or have a parent that is a registered member of CHERUBS.  The CHERUBS CDH Scholarship is not available to children of members on the CHERUBS Executive Board or the CHERUBS Parent Advisory Board (CPAB).  Winner(s) will be announced at the International Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Conference on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in Boston, MA

Roller Derby Fundraiser for Oz Kidd-Ward Scholarship Fund

In October there was an exciting roller derby competition fundraiser for the Oz Kidd-Ward Scholarship Fund!   The Winston-Salem, NC Camel City Thrashers vs Charlottesville Derby Dames!  Thank you to all the ladies who put on their blades to help such a great cause!!!

Blowing Rock Fundraiser for the Oz Kidd-Ward Scholarship Fund

This fall, community members in Blocking Rock, NC threw a fundraiser for the Oz Kidd-Ward Scholarship Fun! Pictured below are Anne Sukow, her baby Cullen Sukow, Susan Henson and Oz's mom, Kendrah Kidd.

31 Party for Oz Kidd-Ward CDH Scholarship Fund

The Oz Kidd-Ward Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Scholarship Fund held a 31 Gifts fundraiser on September 18th. Special thankks to Kristi Brabec, Jocelyn Lacey, Kendrah Kidd and Chris Ward!

CHERUBS New CDH Scholarship Fund

CDH Scholarship Fund – for CDH survivors and siblings. Families can raise money to give scholarships in honor / memory of their cherubs.

We hope to award our first scholarship in 2010.
